Many kids go to a summer sleepaway/overnight camps to enjoy a variety of sports, activities, as well as hang with friends.
WEEKLY sessions begin Monday, June 4, and run through Friday, August 3, 2018. Campers may be dropped off as early as am and picked up as late as pm. LUTHERAN High’s Summer Camp for Kids admits campers of any race, creed, color, sex, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities of the camp.Camp Rahh is an all inclusive adult summer camp in the pacific northwest where adults spend a 4 day weekend kayaking, horseback riding, rock-wall climbing, paint balling, dancing in the woods, watching live concert performances, eating 4 course meals and so much more all free from technology, drugs or alcohol. It wasn’t so daunting because I have a community now to support me. As senior members of Summer Camp for Kids, they will participate in nine “special” field trips which may include traveling a distance from the Springfield area. (A listing of these individual trips and costs are on the registration sheet.) Youth may choose just to participate in the once-a-week trips.
The “real” aspect is that there is more getting to know someone and having more experiences for months.
However, when being at high school parties, there are at many times alcohol and other drugs, which make people get into relationships or situations they never would’ve gotten into without having been influenced by those substances.
An Ashburn man has been charged with solicitation of sex with a minor he met at a summer camp in 2016. Hearns, 19, was a volunteer at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Summer Camp on Dominion Lane in Sterling where he met at least one victim during the summer of 2016.
