After raising an active family of 6 children, and following Don's retirement, she retired from Northwestern Clinic in 1991.

In retirement, Junice and Don enjoyed singing in their church choirs, and traveling to visit their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with the annual highlight being a family reunion at Camp Corbett for 20 plus years. Junice loved working in her yard and flower gardens and sharing her annual harvest of apples with friends and family.

Visitation will be in the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston on Wednesday from 5-pm, with a 7pm prayer service, and also at the church for one hour prior to the funeral.
