Camping lewes east sussex
We pride ourselves in offering a back-to-basics camping experience, but with a modern touch!
After arriving and parking at the reception and amenities area, occupying the various nondescript buildings of the now defunct garden centre previously located here, visitors grab a wheelbarrow, load up their gear and follow the grassy path up and over an old brick railway bridge.Kitts is in the remote corner of a secluded farm, so is very rural and quiet. The camping meadows are in a wonderful setting, surrounded by ancient woodland. Our camping pitches are in cosy little private woodland glades each with its own fire pit, and we also have a Holiday Bus, a romantic Gypsy Caravan, a Holicopter, a Curvy Cabin and our brand new Tree House for rent.We now ask for full payment when a booking is made and this deposit is partly refundable (90%) if cancellations are made more than 30 days before your arrival date.Dogs (on leads) are fine, but we don’t have access for Caravans or Motorhomes.
Please check availability before completing a booking form.
For cancellations made with less than 30 days before arrival, there is no refund.
We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), deep in Sussex Countryside, but within easy reach of London & The South Coast.
Pancras - a casualty of the dissolution of the monasteries.
Lewes is a market town of small, specialist, independent retailers and on certain days, the subtle aromas wafting from Harvey’s Brewery will attract any visitor to Cliffe High Street.
Although surrounded by chalk cliffs, the townscape is dominated by the remains of a Norman castle and is also home to the handsome townhouse of Anne of Cleves (fourth wife of King Henry Vlll).
